The Chincoteague Police Department provides a call in service for the senior citizens of our community.  Seniors must call the department before 10:00 AM daily to notify the communications department  of their well-being. If no contact has been made before 10:00 AM, an officer will be dispatched to the senior's residence to personally check on them.  For more information on this service, call the Police Department at (757)336-3155.

Boat Stickers

A twenty dollar sticker is required to legally launch your watercraft from any of the following town owned docks: Curtis Merritt Harbor, Town Dock, East Side Ramp, Fir Landing and Memorial Park.  Stickers can be purchased at the town office on week days or at the Police Station after business hours and on weekends.

Homeowners without a home security system can request house checks while on vacation. A police officer will check your home each evening for up to thirty days.  You should make other arrangements with friends or family if you plan to be out of town for a longer period.  For more information, call the Police Department at (757) 336-3155.
