If you follow these instructions your computer will be optimized to view most web pages.

These instructions are for a PC running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 or XP, with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. The Photo Album page is best viewed in Internet Explorer 6.0.

    1.   Right click on a blank area on the desktop.

    2.   Go down to properties. 

    3.   Then go to effects. (For Windows XP go to the bottom of the page)

    4.   Place a check mark next to - Smooth edges of screen fonts.

    5.   Setting can be undone, by taking the check mark away.

Most web pages are best viewed at a resolution of 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600. To do this right click on an empty space on the desktop and go down to properties. Then click on the settings tab, then drag the bar to the right to increase the resolution or to the left to decrease it. Some things may be smaller or larger; if you do not like it just move the bar back.

If some text appears too big or small, check to see what size your browser is viewing the site as. To do this follow these instructions:

    1.   In Internet Explorer click "View."

    2.   Then "Text Size."

    3.   It should be on "Medium."

To check you browser version click "Help," then "About Internet Explorer."

Windows XP steps 4-7

    4.    Select the "Appearance" tab.

    5.    Then click "Effects."

    6.    Place a check mark beside "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts."

    7.    Select the method "Clear Type."
